Handbook of marks on pottery & porcelain
A reference handbook of potters' and porcelain factory marks compiled by William Burton and R. L. Hobson, published by Macmillan in London in 1909 for collectors, dealers and museum staff. The plates reproduce hundreds of small line facsimiles — monograms, crossed swords, crescents, seal-stamps, Chinese character marks and dated cartouches — usable as compact black-and-white symbols, borders and monogram models.
