The heraldry of the Douglases : with notes on all the males of the family, descriptions of the arms, plates and pedigrees
A genealogical heraldry handbook by George Harvey Johnston, published in Edinburgh and London by W. & A.K. Johnston in 1907, cataloguing the arms, descents and pedigrees of every male line of the Douglas family for antiquaries and armorial researchers. The plates are flat-colour shields in red, blue, black and yellow, showing crowned lions rampant, hearts, stars, chevrons, lattice and quartered partitions with fine black outlines and no shading, usable as clean vector-ready emblems, pattern fills and crest motifs.
