The heraldry of the Hamiltons : with notes on all the males of the family, description of the arms, plates and pedigrees
A genealogical and heraldic reference on the Hamilton family, compiled by G. Harvey Johnston and published by W. & A.K. Johnston in Edinburgh and London in 1909 for genealogists and armorists. The plates give rows of coloured shields in flat red, gold, white and green, built from cinquefoils, ermine tails, chevrons, checked bands and quartered fields, useful as compact emblem and pattern stock.
