An English alchemical treatise by Alexandre-Toussaint Limojon de Saint-Didier, translated from the French and printed in London by Thomas Harris in 1745, with an appended German text on the knights' war, aimed at readers of hermetic philosophy. Its decoration is typographic: woodcut initial letters framed by winged cherub heads and acanthus scrolls, plus headpieces with putti, urns, flaming altars and flowering branches.
