Heroic airmen and their exploits
A 1917 collection of First World War aviation exploits by E. Walter Walters, published in London by C. H. Kelly for a popular and largely juvenile British readership. Halftone plates after wash drawings show bomb bursts seen from cockpits, biplanes with roundels on rough ground, and portrait medallions framed by the Victoria Cross and RFC wings — useful for grainy monochrome aircraft silhouettes and badge ornament.
