Herrmann's wizards' manual; a practical treatise on coin tricks
A 1916 Chicago instruction manual of coin, card and sleight-of-hand tricks credited to stage magician Alexander Herrmann and edited by Carleton Britton Case, sold to amateur conjurers. The wood-engraved figures show cuffed hands in mid-manipulation, palming coins, fanning cards, fingers drawn with dense crosshatch and stipple, usable as cropped gesture spots, instructional diagrams or period hand ornaments.
