Het ambach van Cvpido, op een nieuw ouersien ende verbetert
A Dutch love-emblem book by the Leiden humanist Daniel Heinsius, printed by Jan Marcus in 1615 for readers of vernacular verse, with engraved plates after Jacob de Gheyn II and a later owner's handwritten German couplets. Each emblem sets a winged Cupid in an oval frame — drafting with compasses, poking fire, skating past gabled houses — giving designers compact circular vignettes, cloud and hatching patterns, and small landscape backgrounds.
