A Dutch-language Jesuit emblem book of meditations on the Passion by Adriaen Poirters, issued at Antwerp by A. Everaerts in 1753 as the eighth edition, for lay Catholic devotional reading. Each small copperplate is split into a narrow upper strip of figures and a larger scene below, where a winged child-soul kneels among columns, arches and cartouches; useful for compact framed vignettes, stacked registers and putto figures.
