Disqvisitionvm magicarvm libri sex. Quibus continetvr accurata cvriosarvm artivm, et vanarvm svperstitionum confutatio, vtilis theologis, iurisconsultis, medicis, philologis / Avctore Martino Del Rio
A Latin treatise on magic and witchcraft by the Jesuit Martín Antonio Del Río, printed by Peter Henning in 1624 and addressed to theologians, lawyers, physicians and philologists. The two pictures are typographic woodcuts rather than subject illustrations: a symmetrical foliate tailpiece with an animal mask at its centre, and a narrow horizontal frieze of putti among scrolling leaves, both usable as rules, dividers and header bands.
