Histoire de l'architecture sacrée du quatrième au dixième siècle dans les anciens évêchés de Genève, Lausanne et Sion
An architectural history by the Geneva archaeologist Jean-Daniel Blavignac, published in Paris in 1853, surveying church building from the fourth to tenth centuries in the old dioceses of Geneva, Lausanne and Sion for antiquarians and church architects. The plates are fine outline engravings of elevations, sections and details: arcaded bell towers with shingled spires, round-arched portals with carved tympana, cushion capitals and hatched cross-sections that supply clean line stock for diagrams, borders and ornament.
