Histoire de l'architecture en Belgique : depuis les temps les plus reculés jusqu'à l'époque actuelle
A. G. B. Schayes's four-volume history of architecture in Belgium from prehistory to the 1850s, self-published in Brussels in 1853 for antiquarians and architects. Line woodcuts give elevations, sections and details of Romanesque and Gothic churches: arcades on columns, paired round-headed windows, coursed masonry rendered in fine hatching, useful as clean outline diagrams of building parts.
