Histoire de l'art pendant la renaissance
Eugène Müntz's multi-volume survey of Renaissance art, published by Hachette in Paris in 1889 for French students, collectors, and general readers. Its wood-engraved plates reproduce Italian frescoes, altarpieces, and crowded figure compositions alongside decorative metalwork, grotesque panels, caryatid figures, vases, and cartouches, giving designers ready line versions of ornament borders and classical figure groups.
