A French exhibition record of historic textiles by Gaston Le Breton, published in Paris by A. Quantin in 1883 from the Union centrale des arts décoratifs show of 1882, addressed to collectors and decorative-art manufacturers. Plates reproduce lace, embroidery and woven silks in dense black-and-white halftone: oval floral medallions, scrolling acanthus panels, bouquets in cartouches, and shaped embroidered pieces usable as repeat patterns, borders and dark grounds.
