Histoire
A French-language history published at Padua in 1784, with ornament engraved by Venetian printmakers Innocente Alessandri, Pietro Scattaglia and Jacopo Guarana for a learned reading public. The plates are small relief-cut headpieces and tailpieces: symmetrical rococo cartouches of acanthus scrolls enclosing trophies of urns, globes, books, flags and instruments, usable as rules, dividers and frame corners.
