Historia deorum fatidicorum, vatum, sibyllarum, phoebadum, apud priscos illustrium : cum eorum iconibus : præposita est dissertatio de divinatione et oraculis
A Latin study of prophetic gods, seers, sibyls and oracles, compiled by the Geneva pastor Pierre Mussard and printed by Pierre Chouët in Geneva in 1675 for scholarly readers of antiquity and divination. Fifty-three copperplate figures show standing sibyls and robed priests in tall headdresses, each paired with attributes — altars with flame, sacrificial lambs, palm and laurel branches, urns, lettered plinths, leopards and prone figures — usable as emblem figures, costume reference and attribute vocabulary.
