A multi-volume genealogical history of the Portuguese royal house and the dukes of Bragança, compiled by António Caetano de Sousa and printed by Joseph Antonio da Sylva in Lisbon from 1735 for court, clerical and noble readers. The plates are small copper-engraved coats of arms, mostly lozenge-shaped women's shields under foliate coronets, filled with quartered castles, escutcheons and hatched fields, useful as compact heraldic devices, ruled-line shading patterns and page ornaments.
