A genealogical history of the Portuguese royal house and the Dukes of Bragança, compiled by António Caetano de Sousa and printed in Lisbon by Joseph Antonio da Sylva from 1735, for court readers, heralds and antiquarians. The engraved plates are heraldic: lozenge-shaped women's arms and quartered shields under coronets, ruled and stippled to stand for tinctures, with castles, escutcheons, wolves and crescents that can be lifted as crests, borders or small emblem stamps.
