A multi-volume genealogical history of the Portuguese royal house and the dukes of Bragança, compiled by the priest-scholar António Caetano de Sousa and printed in Lisbon in 1735 for court, clerical and noble readers. The plates are copperplate heraldry — quartered and lozenge shields bearing the five escutcheons of Portugal under pearled and foliate coronets, some signed by Debrie — alongside hatched white-line initials with acanthus scrolls and braided borders, useful as crests, monograms and drop caps.
