Historia Ptolemaeorum Aegypti regum : ad fidem numismatum accommodata
A Latin history of the Ptolemaic kings of Egypt compiled from their coinage by the French antiquary Jean Foy-Vaillant, printed in Amsterdam in 1701 with plates engraved by Gilliam van der Gouwen and Jan Goeree for scholars and collectors of ancient coins. The engravings pair obverse and reverse in ruled circles: diademed profile heads in fine outline, standing eagles with spread or folded wings, thunderbolts, cornucopias and Greek lettering curved around the rim, usable as roundels, medallion frames, emblem birds and letterform models.
