Historic Canadian ground : the La Salle homestead of 1666 and other old landmarks of French Canada on the Lower Lachine Road
A short local-history pamphlet by John Fraser, printed in Montreal in 1892, recording the La Salle homestead of 1666 and other early French-Canadian buildings along the Lower Lachine Road for antiquarians and Montreal readers. The plates are pen-and-ink line drawings of fieldstone cottages, a steep-roofed parish church, palisaded forts and windmills, with dense cross-hatched stonework and foliage that scan well as small spot vignettes or stipple-textured architectural details.
