Historic churches in Mexico
A 1915 account of Mexican colonial churches and the legends attached to them, written by Sara Aston Butler and issued by the Methodist Abingdon Press in New York and Cincinnati for American general readers and mission audiences. The 46 plates are coarse-screened halftone photographs of stone facades, twin bell towers, tiled domes, atrium walls and tree-shaded plazas, printed dark and flat, useful for heavy-grain textures, silhouetted skylines and ornate Churrigueresque facade detail.
