Catalogue of the second Kunsthistorische Ausstellung held in Düsseldorf in 1904, compiled by Eduard Firmenich-Richartz, Paul Clemen and Paul Hartmann for visitors and scholars of Rhenish and northern European art. The plates are grey halftone reproductions of late Gothic and early Renaissance panel paintings — Adoration of the Magi, altar wings, kneeling donors and saints under carved arcades — each with German caption lines naming artist and owning collection, useful for figure groups, drapery patterns and architectural backdrops.
