A history and description of Chinese porcelain
A survey of Chinese porcelain written by the critic Cosmo Monkhouse with notes by the sinologist Stephen W. Bushell, published by Cassell in London and New York in 1901 for collectors and museum visitors. Halftone photographs show single vases, bottles, and jars isolated against plain grounds, many on carved wood stands, with painted panels of peonies, chrysanthemums, birds, and figures, plus key-fret and lappet borders that can be lifted as ornament.
