A collector's handbook on Italian tin-glazed earthenware written by ceramic artist and historian Louis Marc Solon, published in London by Cassell in 1907 for connoisseurs and museum curators. Halftone plates show dishes and plaques photographed flat, filled with grotesque scrollwork borders, putti, trophies, heraldic shields and mythological scenes usable as circular ornament and framing motifs.
