A History of art
A two-volume general survey of Western art by Henry Bernard Cotterill and Stewart Dick, published in London by G. G. Harrap in 1922 for students and general readers. The plates are halftone photographic reproductions of paintings and frescoes — Renaissance tondi and lunettes, gilded Madonna panels, Dutch and Flemish interiors, crowded Baroque religious scenes — printed dark and grainy, useful for figure groupings, drapery studies, arched and circular picture formats, and coarse-screen tonal texture.
