A history of art in ancient Egypt
A two-volume survey of Egyptian architecture, sculpture and painting by Georges Perrot and Charles Chipiez, translated by Walter Armstrong and published in London by Chapman and Hall in 1883 for students and antiquarians. The plates mix measured sections, elevations and cutaway axonometric reconstructions of temples and tombs with tonal views of rock-cut facades, offering line-ruled hatching, scale bars, column and capital details, and hieroglyphic wall registers.
