History of the seal and flag of the State of New Hampshire
A state-commissioned report by Otis Grant Hammond, published in New Hampshire in 1916, tracing the successive seals and flags of the province and state for legislators, archivists, and historical societies. The plates are halftone photographs of wax and metal seal impressions, showing crowned royal arms, lion and unicorn supporters, Latin circular legends, and worn relief surfaces useful as circular emblem templates, heraldic motifs, and lettering set on a curve.
