History of the seal and flag of the state of New Hampshire
A state-commissioned historical report by Otis Grant Hammond for the New Hampshire Historical Society, printed at Concord in 1916 by order of the governor and council for legislators and antiquarians. The plates are photographs of wax and metal seal impressions, showing crowned royal arms with lion and unicorn supporters, ships and shields, and Latin legends running around the rim, useful as circular emblem layouts, worn relief texture, and heraldic lettering.
