Hoe Piggelmee Groot Werd
A Dutch children's fairy tale of 1923 by Leopold, pen name of Lambertus Cornelis Steenhuizen, following the gnome Piggelmee's quest to grow tall, issued as a picture album in which collectable colour cards were pasted into printed frames. Each card shows a red-capped, white-bearded gnome among firs, beeches and meadows meeting a fox, a mole, a hare and a bird, with a captioned banner and page number beneath; useful for gnome figures, woodland backgrounds, and ready-made card-and-frame layouts.
