Home crafts of today and yesterday
A 1917 needlework and handicraft manual by Florence Buchanan, published by Harper & Brothers in New York and London for home sewers and craft students. The plates are line diagrams of stitches in progress: a threaded needle, a long loop of thread, and the resulting chain, blanket, or braided stitch worked against plain fabric edges, useful as isolated thread motifs, borders, or instructional line art.
