How to entertain an evening party
A cheap parlour-amusement manual of games, tricks and party diversions issued in New York by Tousey & Small in 1878 for middle-class households planning an evening's entertainment. The surviving plates are printing ornaments rather than scenes: symmetrical scrollwork tailpieces with curled volutes and solid leaf tips, plus a Library of Congress watermarked endpaper of eagle seals in diagonal repeat.
