Iconographia Birgittina typographica
A bibliographical survey by Swedish librarian Isak Collijn, published in Uppsala and Stockholm in 1915, reproducing woodcuts of St Bridget of Sweden and her daughter Katarina from incunabula and early printed editions, made for librarians and incunabula scholars. The plates are black-line woodcuts: historiated initials holding scenes of Bridget writing at a desk, kneeling donors, crowned figures and haloed saints, framed by foliate borders, birds and grotesques usable as drop caps, frames and devotional figure motifs.
