Iconologie für Dichter, Künstler und Kunstliebhaber
An iconology handbook published in Vienna in 1807 by Anton Doll, with plates by Joseph Stöber after designs by Christian Sambach, made as a reference of allegorical figures for poets, artists and collectors. Each small oval engraving shows a single draped personification in an open landscape with her attribute — torch, cornucopia, spear, tablet — drawn in fine parallel-line shading against blank sky.
