Ideen-Magazin für Architecten, Künstler und Handwerker
A German pattern book of garden and building designs issued by Baumgärtner in Leipzig, begun by Johann Gottfried Grohmann and continued after his death for architects, artists and builders working on country estates. The engraved plates show garden pavilions, gate piers, trellis fences, aviaries and rustic cottages in elevation and plan, often set in light foliage, with meander and fretwork ornament and scale bars a designer can lift as line motifs or architectural silhouettes.
