Il Lago di Garda;
A volume in the Istituto italiano d'arti grafiche series on Italian regions, written by Giuseppe Solitro and issued at Bergamo in 1904 for Italian travellers and readers interested in local art and topography. The 132 halftone photographs show lakeside towns, Romanesque campaniles, ruined towers overgrown with scrub, arcaded cloisters and baroque church fronts, with soft grey tonal ranges and dark foliage masses useful for atmospheric backgrounds, architectural silhouettes and textured stonework.
