A trade catalogue of office and household desks issued by the Chicago Desk Manufacturing Co. in 1880 for furniture dealers and buyers placing orders. Wood engravings show roll-top and flat-top desks in three-quarter view, open to reveal pigeonholes and drawers, with carved crest rails, turned and fluted legs, and dense hatching that renders dark stained wood and inlay.
