Illustrated catalogue of the standard trimmings.
A trade catalogue of dress trimmings issued about 1873, probably in New York, for wholesale buyers and dressmakers choosing edgings, quillings and embroidered bands by number and yardage. The plates are printed in a single purple ink on cream stock, showing swatch-like rectangles of diagonal and horizontal striping, scalloped lace edges, and rosette-and-leaf embroidery, with handwritten stock numbers left in the margins; useful as repeat patterns, border rules and monochrome texture fills.
