Illustrated catalogue of classical antiquities from the site of the temple of Diana, Nemi, Italy. Discovered during excavations undertaken by the Right Hon. Lord Savile ... and given by him to the Art museum of Nottingham: with an account by Lord Savile of the discovery of the temple and the objects foundthere
A museum catalogue of Roman and Hellenistic antiquities excavated at the Temple of Diana at Nemi by Lord Savile and presented to the Nottingham Castle Museum, printed in Nottingham in 1893 for curators, collectors and students of ancient sculpture. The plates are halftone photographs of marble and terracotta fragments—votive heads, draped torsos, small standing figures—lit against dark backgrounds, useful for cut-out silhouettes, broken-statue motifs and grainy monochrome texture.
