An illustrated auction catalogue issued by the American Art Association under Thomas E. Kirby in New York, 1921, listing Sidney G. Reilly's collection of Napoleonic portraits, miniatures and relics for bidders and collectors. The plates are halftone reproductions of paintings, oval miniatures and engraved portraits: standing figures in embroidered consular and military coats, high black stocks, white breeches, and dark cloudy or marbled backgrounds, useful for period costume detail, oval vignette framing, and heavy tonal contrast.
