Illustrated catalogue of rare and beautiful Sixteenth and Seventeenth century laces collected during twenty years by Leone Ricci, Esq. of Florence
An auction catalogue of sixteenth- and seventeenth-century European lace assembled by the Florentine collector Leone Ricci, issued in 1915 by the Metropolitan Art Association in New York for bidders and dealers at Anderson Galleries. Halftone plates photograph single pieces flat against black, turning needle and bobbin work into fine white line on solid ground: scalloped edges, paisley-like scrolls, dense floral fills.
