Illustrated catalogue of the art gallery of the Southern Exposition, Louisville, Ky., August 16-October 25, 1884
An illustrated exhibition catalogue for the art gallery of the 1884 Southern Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky, compiled by Charles M. Kurtz and printed by J. P. Morton and Company for fairgoers and collectors of American painting. The plates are small reproductive line drawings after exhibited pictures, mostly wooded landscapes, riverbanks and cottage interiors, rendered in loose pen hatching on cream paper, useful for sketchy tree masses, foliage textures and vignette-shaped scenic fills.
