Illustrated catalogue : cottage furniture.
Trade catalogue of cottage bedroom furniture issued in 1884 by T. A. Doubleday of Winooski, Vermont, for retailers and household buyers ordering by suite number. Each plate is a wood-engraved group portrait of a matched set — headboard, washstand, dresser with tilting mirror and small table — drawn in dense parallel hatching that renders grain figure, turned legs and carved crests, useful as period furniture silhouettes and as examples of engraved wood-texture shading.
