Illustrated catalogue of a notable collection of beautiful English furniture of the XVII and XVIII centuries
An auction catalogue issued in New York in 1910 by the American Art Association and Tiffany Studios for a sale of English seventeenth- and eighteenth-century furniture, with notes by Luke Vincent Lockwood, aimed at collectors and dealers bidding on the collection. The plates are halftone photographs of single pieces against plain grey grounds, mostly chairs, tables and cabinets shot at three-quarter angle, useful for pierced splat patterns, cabriole legs with ball-and-claw feet, carved shell crests and silhouette-ready furniture profiles.
