Illustrations of cottage furniture.
A trade catalogue issued by W.T. Stewart & Co. of Philadelphia in 1882, showing painted "cottage" bedroom suites to furniture dealers and retail buyers. Each plate is a line-engraved three-quarter view of a matched set — high-backed bed, mirrored chest, and washstand — with pediments, turned finials, incised panels, and stenciled floral sprays that can be lifted as ornament motifs, period furniture silhouettes, or catalogue-page layout models.
