Illustrations of school classics, arranged and described
A teaching reference by George Francis Hill, numismatist at the British Museum, published by Macmillan in London in 1903 to supply schoolboys reading Greek and Latin authors with pictures of the objects and customs mentioned. Its 459 line drawings copy vases, coins, gems, reliefs and bronzes: outline figures in tunics and helmets, temple facades, sacrifices at altars, and circular coin designs framed by bead borders.
