Il mondo della luna. Poema eroico-comico
Il mondo della luna is a mock-heroic poem on a voyage to the moon, written by the Jesuit man of letters Saverio Bettinelli and printed at Venice in 1754 by the Remondini press for educated Italian readers. The ten pictures are letterpress woodcut headpieces and tailpieces: rocaille scrollwork with trumpets and a rayed sun, a flower basket, arms trophies, and a harbour view set in an acanthus frame, usable as small ornaments, dividers and cartouche frames.
