Il Rota overo dell'imprese : dialogo
A 1562 Naples dialogue by Scipione Ammirato on imprese and mottoes, printed by Giovanni Maria Scotto for courtly readers interested in emblem devices and heraldic wit. The scanned pages here are sprinkled decorated paper: pale yellow grounds flecked with dense red-brown spatter in varying densities and formats, usable as textured backgrounds, endpaper fills, or scanned grain overlays.
