Ilustrazione di un antico vaso trovato nelle ruine di Locri ..
An antiquarian monograph by Michele Arditi on an ancient vase excavated in the ruins of Locri, printed at Naples in 1791 for collectors and students of Greek inscriptions and numismatics. The engravings show pairs of Locrian coins, obverse and reverse, hung on ribbons or rods and often built into decorated initial letters framed by rules and leaf borders: laureate Zeus heads, helmeted Athena, seated figures, eagles and thunderbolts against fine hatching, usable as medallion motifs, drop caps and small vignettes.
