A 1705 funeral book by Matthieu Pecher with engravings by Johann Ulrich Krauss, printed at Innsbruck for the three-day obsequies of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I, presenting his virtues as emblems with Latin verse. Each plate sets a motto scroll and emblem picture—eagles, sun, lopped tree, landscapes—inside a strapwork cartouche held by putti, useful for frames, mottoes and heraldic emblem stock.
