I marmi riccardiani difesi dalle censure del marchese Scipione Maffei
An Italian antiquarian pamphlet by Pier Lorenzo Del Signore defending the Latin inscriptions of the Riccardi marble collection against the criticisms of Scipione Maffei, printed in Florence by Francesco Moücke in 1781 for scholars of epigraphy. Its pictures are letterpress ornaments cut in wood: symmetrical headpieces and tailpieces built from winged griffins, putti holding ribbons, grinning masks in strapwork cartouches, and sprays of acanthus and wheat, usable as rules, dividers and small crests.
